AVID ANGLER PRO NOTES:
GT's are the beasts of the flats and require special equipment.  The Airlo Tropical GT fly line is a task specific and is a must have for dealing with these incredible fish.

• The “hit and hold” method of GT fishing experienced on the reef shelves of the Seychelles and other Pacific Islands may be the most demanding job for any fly line to get done.  The unbelievable strength and speed of these ferocious predators, and their uncanny ability to break you off over the reef edge make for a situation setting you up for a rough trip if you don’t go prepared.
• Using our legendary Tropical Series lines as the starting point, we extended the front and rear tapers, and added our 50lb Power Core.   Effectively present big flies at any distance and know you have enough under the hood to prevail when chaos ensues.
• Available in 12wt in floating and intermediate versions.

Front loops: All models feature a front loop

Tip & Front Taper:  The GT line features an extra thick tip.  The moderately aggressive front taper is powerful enough to turn over moderately heavy flies, but can still lay out delicately enough to not spook the water when needed.

Belly:  The longer belly design helps with distance casting.

Rear Taper:  The moderate rear taper is designed to load the rod quickly, but still carry a stable cast to moderate distances.

Rigging tips:

• Small to Moderately Large flies:  These fish don’t mess around.  We recommend some heavy duty material in at least 30lb to 40lb monofilament to stand a chance.
